Seventh clerkship: Cytotoxic pharmacy
A department that make people easily fall in love and hate at the same time. The job scope pretty easy but is a risky job. Firstly, I would like to thank Prof for attending the class even he nearly had heart attack on that morning. The class was informative and helped us a lot in revision of the lectures. But, the class was too boring. Couldn't get rid of the sleepiness in the cold environment.
On the second day, we visited cytotoxic department in HPP. The building is isolated and not everyone know the exact location of it. Luckily, we had asked the previous group beforehand. Again another boring day. One full day with lectures and only 2 hours with walking around in the building and doing some calculations.
Eighth clerkship: Satellite pharmacy
Woo.. how's to relate satellite with pharmacy? This is because of this department is closely related to few different wards in hospital and located outside of these wards.
Dr Bala is a good lecturer that always give positive support and encouragement to us. We are free to explore around in a simulated lab. It is fun and interesting. The assessment is the moment to apply whatever we learnt during this clerkship. Nervous and blank-mind again once it reached my turn. But I like it very much.
Nineth clerkship: Sterile preparation
Being astronaut on this day..
Only one conclusion I can make after this clerkship.. Luckily I didn't pick medic as my future path.. Felt relieved for myself and all the patients.
Tenth clerkship: Drug Information I (National Poison Centre)
The most relaxed clerkship as the our last clerkship in this semester. Pick up a call, collect data and search for the related information requested.
First and last time of having lunchie together~
That's the end of the first semester of final year in USM. Looking forward the next semester!
